About the Owner of Assured Exteriors
Phillip Smith has been a trusted member of the Vancouver, WA business community since 2003. He has over 30 years of experience in the home improvement industry. His journey started in 1993. Since then, he has built a reputation for quality work, honesty, and strong service.
A journeyman carpenter by trade, Phillip’s expertise spans every phase of residential and commercial construction. He started his training early. While in high school in British Columbia, Canada, he finished a residential construction skills program. After that, he went through a tough carpenters’ apprenticeship to earn his journeyman certification. Over the years, he has earned many certifications. These include lead abatement, waterproofing, and flashing integration. He also knows the best ways to protect a home’s exterior. This ensures that every project he leads lasts a long time.
Phillip’s philosophy is simple but powerful: a company reflects the people behind it. That’s why he takes a hands-on role in the day-to-day operations at Assured Exteriors. He is involved in job planning, design consultations, and customer relations. He also leads team strategy meetings. He leads by example and offers mentorship. He sets a positive tone for clients and team members.
At Assured Exteriors, community matters. Under Phillip’s leadership, the company has proudly donated time and resources. They build decks and ramps for disabled veterans and people fighting cancer or ALS. This effort is very important to him. These charitable projects show his belief that good construction work should build homes and improve lives.
Outside of work, Phillip is a devoted family man who treasures time with his wife and their four sons. Whether he’s hiking, fishing, or coaching youth football, he finds his greatest joy in creating lasting memories with his family—and bringing that same sense of care and dedication to every home his company touches.

About the Owner of Assured Exteriors
Phillip Smith has been a business owner in the Vancouver, WA community since 2003, and has been in the home improvement industry since 1993. He is a journeyman carpenter with experience in all phases of both residential and commercial construction. Previously while in high school in British Columbia, Canada, Phillip went through the skills training center for residential construction and has also completed the carpenters’ apprenticeship program to become a journeyman carpenter. While certified in lead abatement, he has also taken many development courses and certifications on waterproofing, flashing integration, and the proper building methods to protect your home’s exterior envelope.
Phillip believes that every company is a reflection of the people who are running it, and takes a hands-on approach to his day to day position. His day is spent job planning, working on design, handling customer relations, or meeting with the rest of the sales team to go over projects and solutions. Phil makes an effort to provide coaching and motivation and strives to be an example of how a positive first outlook can set the tone in every situation.
Assured Exteriors is a construction company that cares about our community, and Phil loves to help people in all areas of his life. This company has given him a great opportunity to serve and give back, both through his work and community involvement. Our team been able to donate building decks and ramps for disabled veterans as well as for several cancer/ALS victims and their families in order to help make things easier during their battles.
In his life outside of work, Phil is a family man who loves to spend time with his wife and his four boys. He enjoys hiking, fishing, and coaching football, and there is nothing more important to him than his family.
